MODEL KELAS KB DENGAN PENDEKATAN KELUARGA MENINGKATKAN PENGGUNAAN METODE KONTRASEPSI JANGKA PANJANG PADA PASANGAN USIA SUBUR DI WILAYAH PESISIR

The use of contraceptive methods is one effective way to reduce maternal mortality. The 2023 SKI data shows that the proportion of family planning use among women aged 10-54 years for implants is 7.3%, IUD 8.5%, while in NTB the proportion of IUD use is 6.8% and implants is 15.2%. Data from the Ministry of Population and Family Development / BKKBN for the Total Fertility Rate (TFR) nationally and NTB shows the same data, namely 2.11, meaning that on average a mother gives birth to 2-3 children. The number of couples of childbearing age (PUS) who do not utilize the Unmet Need family planning program in NTB is 11.1%. Appropriate interventions are needed to increase the use of MKJP among couples of childbearing age. This community service program aims to increase the use of MKJP among PUS in the coastal areas of Mataram City. The intervention was carried out from May to October 2025 in the Ampenan and Tanjung Karang Community Health Center areas. This activity was carried out through preparatory stages by coordinating with relevant cross-sectors. The implementation was carried out using lecture methods, questions and answers, discussions, and the presence of role models of PUS who have used MKJP and using various media and tools. The results of the activity showed that all respondents had good knowledge about MKJP (100%), supportive attitudes (63.3%), supportive families (70%), and 20 respondents (66.7%) used long-term contraceptive methods (MKJP), namely implants and IUDs. The conclusion of this community service showed that all respondents had good knowledge, supportive attitudes and family support, and the majority of respondents used long-term contraceptive methods. The output of this activity was scientific publications and utilization by partners.
